Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
How long does an individual session last?
An individual session lasts 50 minutes, on a certain schedule ( for example once/week, every Wednsday at 11:00). It it is very important to mentain this setting for the amount of time needed, in order for the tharapy to work.
It is not rare that the individual feels more inspired to talk more at the end of the session, but, the therapyst will still stop the session at the set time, leaving the psyche to organise itself for the next session, and, in doing so, more significant content will emarge.
How can I get my money back?
Services that require subscription have a money back guarantee (if certain conditions are met). The terms are stipulated within each service.
Still, for most of our services, individual and group sessions, workshops and retreats, if you participated at the meeting itself, or you cancelled less than 24 hours before the meeting, the money will be charged, with no possibility of getting the money back.
This is because putting together and conducting these services require a lot of work and preparation, that has to be done, no matter if the individual participates or not. Also, due to the fact that there is a limited number of places, by making a reservation you kept the place occupied, thus, preventing other person to register.
How does confidentiality work?
Psychologists have a primary obligation and take all precautions to protect confidential information.
They may disclose confidential information only with the appropriate consent of the client, the individual client/patient, or another legally authorized person on behalf of the client/patient.
How many sessions are necessary?
There is no specific rule about this, and the answer may be very different, depending on each individual.
While crisis situations and symptom oriented techniques may be more rapid, in-depth psychology focuses on unconscious factors and aims to eliminate the deeper cause, a process that can last for a long time, starting from months to years, depending on the individual.
A recommendation would be to start from one month and see if this type of therapy is best suited for your specific case.
What if I don't get along with the therapist?
The first 4 sessions are a trial period, where the two parties get to know each other.
After this time, the therapist will do an assessment and both parties will agree on the direction of the therapy.
The client is always free to withdraw, without any explanation.
